SSLA YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

1. The SSLA youth scholarship award will be given out on a yearly basis if a qualified applicant is received. It will consist of a $500. award being given out each year for four consecutive years , for a maximum of $2,000. The recipient must maintain a B average each year to continue to be eligible and receive the award . Proof of grades must be provided annually to the Youth Scholarship Committee by transcript or by written documentation from the institution of study on their letter head.

2. Any high school senior in pursuit of an undergraduate degree, who is a member of the Southern States Llama Association may apply for this Youth Scholarship. The student must have been a member in good standing for a minimum of one year. The family must be a member of SSLA .

3. To apply for this scholarship, a Youth Scholarship Application Form must be filled out and submitted to the Youth Scholarship Committee by second Monday in January of the year in which the scholarship will be awarded .

4. The Youth Scholarship Award will be presented at the annual Southern States Conference in March of that year.

5. The selection process for the award will be based on academic grades in High School, involvement with llamas, participation in the SSLA , and community work and activities .
