SSLA ORGANIZATION

OFFICERS
The officers of the Association shall be the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Officers must be members of the elected Board of Directors of SSLA. 

PRESIDENT
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and shall preside at all General and Board of Directors meetings, as well as supervise and direct all the business and affairs of the Association. The President shall ensure that the By-Laws, rules and regulations of the SSLA are enforced and shall perform all duties generally incident to the Office of the President. The President shall approve all money or contractual transactions with the Treasurer. He/she shall appoint appropriate committees as necessary.

VICE-PRESIDENT
In the absence of the President or in the event of his/her inability to perform the duties enumerated in Section 5.2, the Vice-President shall have the powers and shall perform such duties. The Vice-President shall also be the Board liaison for all SSLA sponsored activities.

TREASURER
The Treasurer shall receive and safely keep all moneys, rights and properties belonging to the SSLA, deposit all such funds within ten (10) business days of receipt, in the name of the SSLA in such financial institution(s) as the Board of Directors may designate. the Treasurer shall disburse funds for the payment of obligations of SSLA, and for other legitimate purposes as directed by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall give a full and itemized annual report, in writing, of the financial standing and affairs of the SSLA to the membership in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. The treasurer shall receive all membership applications and dues and forward applications to the Membership Chairperson.

SECRETARY
The Secretary shall keep a permanent record of all the minutes of meetings of the membership and of the Board of Directors in appropriate books, maintain a current directory of all members, be responsible for all correspondence, give and serve all notices of the SSLA, submit approved minutes of SSLA  and Board of Directors meetings to the membership in writing through the Llama Journal and other such duties incident to said office.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The Officers, who are elected Directors, shall be elected annually by a simple majority vote of the Board of Directors at the annual meeting designated as the "Election Meeting."
